  • Yes! Our age requirement is 4 years old. You child must be able to still still.

  • The average healing time is 6 weeks for the ear lobe and 12 weeks for a cartilage piercing. We recommend leaving your earrings in during the entire healing process.

  • Redness, soreness, swelling, crusting, and slight bleeding.

  • A very hot feeling and extreme pain. Green or brown colored discharge with a strong odor to it.

If you have any of the following symptoms, it's advised that you seek medical attention: Severe redness, pain, pus drainage (pus is typically a bright color, not white or clear), major swelling, abscess formation, fever.

If you notice any of the above issues, apply triple antibiotic cream, if issues persist, it is best to see a medical professional. Do not remove the piercing if there is an active infection without seeking medical advice.

  • Everyone heals at a different rate. It’s important to understand that as we pierce higher on your ear, piercings can take longer to heal and are more likely to reject. This is normal. If you find your piercing inflamed and painful, remove the earring and continue the aftercare process.

  • We recommend staying out of pools, lakes, rivers, and ocean until the piercing is healed.

  • We will provide and aftercare solution to use 2-3 times a day. Pour a tiny amount on a Qtip and clean around the front and the back of the piercing.

    1. Wash your hands before touching or cleaning your piercing. Touching with dirty fingers is an easy way to get a piercing infected. Despite what you may have heard, you do not need to rotate or twist your jewelry during healing. Unless you are cleaning your piercing, keep your hands off!

    2. Check Your Jewelry. Any jewelry should be checked occasionally (with clean hands) to make sure those earring backs are fastened.

    3. Keep Your Jewelry In. While your piercing is healing, keep jewelry in it at all times. After your piercing is healed you can change your jewelry, but jewelry should never be left out for longer than the time it takes to insert a new piece. If you must remove your jewelry temporarily after healing, such as for work or surgery, there are less visible (and non-metal) alternatives that can be worn for short periods of time.

    4. Follow your aftercare. We recommend using the provided aftercare solution or a saline solution 3times a day for 6-12 weeks to ensure the best healing. Cleanse immediately after swimming, exercising, applying hair products or perfume.

    5. Be mindful of the earrings you wear. We recommend only wearing items from our Luxe or Gold Plated collection in the first year. Do not wear heavy earrings for 6 months to a year after your piercing has healed.
